For clarity, SSC conducts the SSC JE exam to hire the finest candidates for the posts of Junior Engineers. There are vacancies in the Civil, Mechanical and Electrical sectors in the Indian ministries. Moreover, the examination takes place in two phases, Tier 1 and Tier 2. 

The SSC JE 2022 Tier-1 examination was conducted in November. The answer key is what every aspirant looks up to. Hence, it was released on the 22nd of November 2022.

  • Tier 1 Paper is MCQ based. A Computer-based exam consisting of General Intelligence and Reasoning. Set of questions regarding engineering and subject awareness.  It includes decision-making questions, arithmetic reasoning, and observation. 
  • Tier 2 Paper – a descriptive paper. There are in total three subjects – specific parts in paper 2. 
    • Part A – Civil Engineering
    • Part B – Electrical Electricity
    • Part C – Mechanical Engineering

Applicants must sit for their chosen subject, per the application form.
